Welcome to Crazytown

Beware fellow Americans! Those who have healthcare via the Republican Party, Medicare, a news corporation, or the VA are out to prevent you from getting covered with a public option (especially if you have none).

Here are their reasons they say a public option is not any good:

1. Thirteen hundred companies sell health insurance plans and are very competitive.
2. A public option will undercut private insurers and pass the tab to taxpayers and health providers just as it does in existing government-run programs. Medicare pays hospitals 71% and doctors 81% of what private insurers pay.
3. Government-run health insurance would crater the private insurance market, forcing most Americans onto the government plan.
4. The public option is far too expensive.
5. The public option puts government firmly in the middle of the relationship between patients and their doctors.

The Republicans say they have a better alternative. Whatever. Also, we all know that "Socialist" is a code for the N-word at these meetings. Just shut your crazypants mouths so we can debate like adults.
